FICP 2016 Leadership Announced

PARADISE ISLAND, BAHAMAS – Members of Financial & Insurance Conference
Planners (FICP) announced the meeting planners elected to serve on the association’s
board of directors at the 2015 FICP Annual Conference, held at Atlantis, Paradise
Island, Bahamas. Michael Burke, CMP, Director, Conference & Travel Services, The
Hanover Insurance Group, Worcester, MA; Sherri Lindenberg, CLU, Senior Vice
President, Marketing, Crump, Roseland, NJ; and Katie Senkowski, CMP, Manager,
Meetings & Events, AIG Benefit Solutions, Neptune, NJ will serve three-year terms
effective January 1, 2016.
 
By acclamation, Caryn Taylor Lucia, Vice President, Corporate Event Marketing, SEI,
Oaks, PA, became the 2016 Chair.
 
The board of directors appointed Joe Scully, Senior Director, John Hancock Financial
Services, Boston, MA, as the FICP Chair-Elect. Scully will automatically assume the
FICP Chair role in 2017.
 
Continuing on the board are:

  • Executive Director: Steve Bova, CAE, Financial & Insurance Conference Planners, Chicago, IL
Concluding their terms and departing the board at the end of 2015 are Marla Hannigan,
CMP, Meeting & Event Manager, Mutual of Omaha, Omaha, NE and Jana Stern, AVP,
Director of Meetings & Events, Voya Financial, Minneapolis, MN.
 
To serve on the board of directors, one must be an FICP member in good standing for a
continuous two-year period; be able to maintain their corporate and/or meeting planning
responsibilities as well as their board responsibilities; have the full support of their
company’s management; and have at least five years of work experience in the
meeting/conference planning field.
 
2016 Hospitality Partner Advisory Committee Announced
Isabel Mahon, Director of Sales, Incentive/Insurance, Fairmont Hotels & Resorts North
America, Chicago, IL has been named chair of the FICP Hospitality Partner Advisory
Committee (HPAC), effective January 1, 2016.
 
The HPAC welcomes Martin Johnston, Regional Director of Northeast and Insurance
Sales, Montage Hotels & Resorts, Windermere, FL and David Riederman, CAE,
Director, Global Accounts, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, New York, NY, to its roster for
2016.
 
Cosimo Bruzzese, Vice President of Business Development, Briggs, Inc., New York, NY;
Linda Burley, CMP, National Sales Manager, Red Rock Resort, Las Vegas, NV; Chris
Gilbert, National Sales Manager, Belmond Charleston Place, Charleston, SC and Kevin
Regan, MBA, Global Director, Charter & Incentives, Azamara Club Cruises, Miami, FL,
return to the HPAC for 2016.
 
Padraic Gilligan, BA, MA, HDE, DMCP, Managing Partner, Ovation Global DMC, Dublin,
Ireland and Julie Holmen, Director of Sales, Corporate & Incentive, Tourism Toronto
depart the HPAC at the end of 2015.
