Nashville, Tenn. – Members of Financial & Insurance Conference Planners (FICP) announced the meetings professionals elected to serve on the association’s board of directors at the 2016 FICP Annual Conference, held at the Omni Nashville Hotel in Nashville, Tenn.

These individuals will serve three-year terms effective January 1, 2017.
By acclamation, Joe Scully, Senior Director, Meeting & Event Management, John Hancock Financial Services, Boston, Mass., became the 2017 Chair.
The board of directors appointed Marcia Merando, LLIF, FLMI, LUTCF, Director of Marketing, Frankenmuth Insurance, Frankenmuth, Mich., as Chair-Elect. Merando will assume the FICP Chair role in 2018.

To serve on the board of directors, one must be an FICP member in good standing for at least three consecutive years; be able to maintain their corporate and/or meeting planning responsibilities as well as their board responsibilities; have the full support of their company’s management; and have at least five years of work experience as a meetings and events professional.
2017 Hospitality Partner Advisory Committee Announced
Linda Burley, CMP, Senior Sales Manager, The Westin Las Vegas Hotel, Las Vegas, Nev. has been named chair of the FICP Hospitality Partner Advisory Committee (HPAC), effective January 1, 2017.
The HPAC welcomes Michael Dominguez, Senior Vice President & Chief Sales Officer, MGM Resorts International, Las Vegas, Nev.; Lynn Lee, Global Sales Director, AlliedPRA, Inc., San Diego, Calif.; and Carolee Weinstein, Director, Global Accounts, Omni Hotels & Resorts, New York, N.Y. to three-year terms on the HPAC.
Cosimo Bruzzese, Vice President of Business Development, Briggs, Inc., New York, N.Y.; Martin Johnston, Regional Director of Northeast and Insurance Sales, Montage Hotels & Resorts, Windermere, Fla.; and David Riederman, CAE, Director, Global Accounts, Hyatt Hotels Corporation, New York, N.Y., continue on the HPAC for 2017.
