Global Meetings Industry Day
Global Meetings Industry Day (GMID), held April 6, 2017, celebrates the meetings and events industry by demonstrating the positive impact the industry has on communities, businesses and economies.
FICP celebrated by featuring our members on Facebook, with a personal greeting from FICP Executive Director Steve Bova and by attending the Choose Chicago Industry Xchange (pictured)!
How'd you celebrate? Let us know by posting in TheNetwork or on social media.
Slow Down and Be Strategic
In April, FICP is focused on strategic thinking, ROI and ROE to help meetings and events professionals better demonstrate their value to their organizations. This month's blog, written by FICP Board of Directors member Katie Senkowski, CMP, dives deep into strategic thinking! Strategic Partner Profile
FICP Strategic Partners support the organization year-round. This month, learn more about JPdL.
Nicky de Champlain, JpdL
What is JPdL most excited for in 2017?
JPdL is excited to welcome a number of insurance and financial companies in our several destinations all across Canada this year. Beyond that, we are very excited that Canada is celebrating is 150th anniversary as a country! JPdL will be participating in a number of events all across Canada. Here in Quebec City, we are most excited for Rendez-vous 2017, where 40 majestic ships will be sailing in Canadian water to mark this occassion.
What is the most valuable aspect of being an FICP Strategic Partner for JPdL?
We have been a hospitality partner for more than 20 years, and I have been with JPdL for 13. We have established very valuable relationships with the planner members in that time. It astounds me that, as planner members move companies, they will still call JPdL to help plan events. The networking opportunities and relationships we build through FICP are why the partnership is so valuable.
Tell us something about JPdL that most people don’t know.
This is a quote from our fearless leader, Jean-Paul de Lavison: "The best is yet to come. We are in times of uncertainty, but the secret to JPdL's success is to stay constant at offering unsurpassed and unmatched experiences to our valued FICP clients, time after time."
