Did You Know?
Knock-knock. Who's there? It's National Tell A Joke Day! Have you ever wondered where your favorite jokes come from? During the Prohibition in the 1930s, before entering a speakeasy, one would be required to knock on the door and say a password when prompted, "Who's there?" Patrons often had fun with the password custom as the night wore on, and that's how the knock-knock joke was born. Learn more about the origins of some classic jokes and try to earn some laughs with these jokes to celebrate National Tell a Joke Day on August 16.
