CHICAGO, IL – Financial & Insurance Conference Professionals (FICP) is pleased to announce that United Against Poverty, Orlando Health – Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida have been selected to receive proceeds from its 17th Annual Silent Auction. The Silent Auction will be hosted in conjunction with the 2018 FICP Annual Conference.
“These reputable, non-profit organizations were selected for their demonstrated ability to make a significant, positive impact on children and families in need in the Orlando area,” said FICP 2018 Annual Conference Chair Joseph Scully of John Hancock Financial Services.
For the first time at this year’s Annual Conference, attendees will participate in a CSR networking activity where toys and other items will be assembled and donated to these same organizations.
“The decision to donate Silent Auction proceeds to the same organizations that will benefit from our CSR activity allows for FICP to maximize the positive impact of its conference on those organizations and the Orlando-area families they serve,” said Scully.
“The selection of these organizations is consistent with FICP’s long-standing tradition of using Silent Auction proceeds to benefit the local community that not only generously hosts its signature event but serves as the home to many of its hospitality partners and members,” said FICP Executive Director Steve Bova.
FICP is currently seeking donations for the 2018 Silent Auction with a minimum retail value of $75. Donating can be done entirely online. Bidding opens today, September 19, for all FICP members and hospitality partners, regardless of conference attendance, and also takes place entirely online. Additional information about Silent Auction donations and bids is available here.
In 2017, FICP raised more than $69,000 to support Junior Achievement® and Global Giving and seeks to exceed that goal for its 2018 auction.
