CHICAGO, IL – Financial & Insurance Conference Professionals (FICP) today announced the beneficiary of its 18th Annual Silent Auction, hosted in conjunction with its 2019 FICP Annual Conference, November 10-13, at the Fairmont Austin in Austin, Texas.
The Olin E. Teague Veterans’ Medical Center in Temple, Texas, and the Austin VA Outpatient Clinic in Austin, Texas, will receive proceeds from FICP’s Silent Auction, and will also benefit from the corporate social responsibility (CSR) activity hosted at the event.
“FICP’s long-standing tradition is to use Silent Auction proceeds to benefit the local community that hosts its signature event,” said Marcia Merando, LLIF, FLMI, LUTCF, 2019 FICP Annual Conference Chair and Director of Marketing, Frankenmuth Insurance. “Since we are hosting this year’s event over Veteran’s Day, it was important to us that we used our auction to honor and show appreciation for those who have served our country. These donations will provide comfort for veterans receiving care through those local facilities.”
FICP partner Cheeriodicals will lead annual conference attendees in a CSR teambuilding activity where they assemble cheer-up gifts for hospitalized veterans at those same facilities. Gift boxes will include an embroidered blanket, travel tumbler, entertainment items, convenience items, activity books and magazines.
FICP is currently accepting donations for the 2019 Silent Auction with a minimum value of $75. Bidding opens online September 25, 2019 to all FICP members and hospitality partners. Learn more or donate to the auction through FICP’s website.
Through its 17th Annual Silent Auction in 2018, FICP raised $90,029, benefiting Boys & Girls Clubs of Central Florida, Orlando Health – Arnold Palmer Hospital for Children and United Against Poverty.
